Asia - Iran National Team

Participated in FIBA Asia Championship for Men for 13 times, won the championship in 2007 and 2009

Iran team is a representative of western Asian team which progressed very fast in recent years. Team of Iran is coached by Serbian Veselin Matic consists of young players and the average of age is 25. Hamed Haddadi, one of the best front court players of Asia, is playing in Memphis Grizzlies in NBA. Another key player Sammad Nikkhah Bahrami who played in Euro-League, is currently playing for Mahram in Iranian Basketball Super League and Bahrami becomes one of the most outstanding players in Asia. Iran team is the most powerful competitor of China team in Asia.

Europe - Slovenia National Team

Ranking 9th in 2006 FIBA World Championship

Many Chinese basketball fans would still remember the heart-beating moment when China defeated Slovenia by 1 point in the last 5.8 seconds and hence Slovenia did not proceed to the final 16 at the 2006 World Championship for Men in Japan. But the traditional strong team grew up in high speed. In Poland EuroBasket,they ranked the 4th. Slovenia national team still has the ability to compete with any other team. There are 3 NBA players in Slovenia team. They are Beno Udrih from Sacramento Kings, Primoz Brezec from Milwaukee Bucks and Goran Dragic from Phoenix Suns. Bostjan Nachbar who played for 3 NBA teams previously, is in great form after joining in the Moscow Dynamo club.
